Wright Thurston is one of the few people in the world to have built over a million-dollar net worth in each of four totally different businesses. He has accomplished this in the areas of real estate; starting his own business; as a consultant and professional speaker; and in consumer direct marketing.
Financially independent at 30, Wright's millionaire status was first achieved as a result of his part-time investment activities. In only 13 months, Wright purchased five properties ranging from 6 to 25 apartment units each. By applying proven success strategies and techniques, he built a $9,000.00 a month positive cash flow and a million-dollar net worth in less than 18 months. He accomplished all of this while working his full-time job with the IBM Corporation.
During his marketing years with IBM, Wright won numerous National and Regional marketing awards including 6 consecutive 100% clubs, Regional Sales Leader, and IBM's Salesman of the Year in Alaska.
In order to have more time with his family, Wright "retired" from IBM and now pursues his other businesses on a full-time basis. The Thurston Company has owned nearly 200 properties/units including apartment buildings, a hotel, a shopping mall, commercial land, etc.
A popular and entertaining speaker, Wright has given over 1,500 presentations nationally and internationally, sharing the principles and techniques that help make businesses and individuals more successful. He has taught sales and management concepts to Fortune 500 companies, trained and inspired network marketers, and shared real estate, investment, and computer strategies with entrepreneurs worldwide. He is a member of the National Speakers Association.
He currently is the president of three different companies. The revenues of one of these companies exceeded six million dollars within the first two years. He belongs to and supports the principles of the Better Business Bureau.
Wright and his wife Janett are also Executive Directors with Melaleuca, Inc., an Inc. 500 company for five consecutive years. They have won the prestigious "President's Club" for two different years.
In addition to church and family commitments, the Thurstons have also been actively involved in community organizations, such as United Way, Junior Achievement, school boards, and Rotary International, to name a few.
Wright is the author of numerous books, audios, videos, and software programs that deal with wealth building strategies in the areas of real estate, property management, home-based businesses, sales and management techniques, computers, etc.
Wright and Janett have been married for over 20 years. They are the proud parents of five children.
